Symposium Proposal Submission Guidelines

The Programme Committee welcomes submission of thematic symposia proposals. Symposia should offer a balanced overview of a topic of interest, including background information to help those unfamiliar with the issue, as well as accounts of current research findings. Symposia should include a minimum of 4 and maximum of 6 talks. Each symposium should have one or two chairpersons, who can also be presenters. All presenters and chairpersons should confirm their participation before submission of proposal.

To submit a proposal, please use the form below. The proposal should include the following: a title, the name(s) and affiliation(s) of the symposium chairperson(s), a short overview (300 words) that should introduce the topic(s) to be covered and its importance to the broader neuroscience community along with explanation of why the proposed group is best suited to present the issue(s). Along with the overview do also include the names and affiliations of the presenters and the tenative titles of their talks. Include also a list of three to five keywords that best descibe the issue(s) presented.

Submission deadline for proposals is June 15th 2008. All the submissions will be reviewed by the programme committee. The symposium organizer will be notified of the decision by email by the end of August 2008.

SiNAPSA will try to secure funds for covering part of travel and lodging expenses of invited speakers. If you would like to use some of those funds to finance an invited speaker for proposed symposium, attach an application for funds along with argumentation to the symposium proposal.
