Information for exhibitors and sponsors

SiNAPSA Neuroscience Conference (SNC) is a Central European neuroscience event, organised biennialy. In 2011, the SNC has gained the status of a FENS Featured Meeting.

Format of the conference follows several key aims:

  • to provide neuroscientists in Slovenia and neighbouring countries with an opportunity to present their research and to establish inter-regional collaboration;
  • to gather internationally distinguished scientists who present State-of-the-Art plenary talks about their respective fields of work;
  • to provide students, young scientists and clinical professionals with an opportunity to improve their knowledge and skills, and to facilitate communication among themselves and with senior scientific community;
  • to engage society at large by promoting neuroscience and bringing novel scientific findings about the nervous system closer to lay public.

SNC'11 is organised by a consortium of neuroscientists from Slovenia with colleagues from Trieste, Italy, and Zagreb, Croatia. We therefore expect the attendance of conference to grow compared to previous years, to above 300 participants, half of them coming from Slovenia and others from abroad. We anticipate about 150 poster presentations and around 50 oral presentations (with plenary speakers, Workshop talks, the A.O. Župančič Memorial Lecture and the Neuroscience and Society event. We expect students and junior researchers to represent about two thirds of all participants.

Past exhibitors and sponsors

Exhibitors and sponsors of previous Sinapsa Neuroscience Conferences were mainly comprised of institutions and commercial companies related to neuroscience or medicine in general. On average we had around 20 sponsors and exhibitors at each conference.

Reasons to support SNC’11
