The core of the SNC'11 Programme are the Thematic Symposia. You are invited to submit a proposal for a symposium using the online form below.
Make sure to enter all the required information before pressing the Submit button. An automatic confirmation will be sent to your e-mail address following successful receipt of your application.
Symposium Proposal Submission Guidelines
Symposia may address any neuroscience topic from molecular to systems neuroscience and clinical research.
Symposia duration is 90-min (1.5 hrs), so proposals should include 4 (four) 20-min talks with short discussions. Each Symposium should have a designated Chairperson. All presenters should confirm their participation prior to proposal submission.
The proposal should include:
- Symposium title,
- name(s) and affiliation(s) of the Symposium Chairperson(s),
- description (300 words) of the Symposium topic and scope, with names and affiliations of the presenters, and tenative titles of their talks
- three to five keywords that best descibe the issue(s) presented.
To help the organizers submit competitive proposals SiNAPSA will provide funds to cover economy travel for one of the symposia speakers. If you would like to use SiNAPSA funds to finance an invited speaker for a proposed Symposium, attach a short application for funding along with argumentation to the symposium proposal.
Submission deadline for proposals is October 25, 2010. Applicants will be notified of the Programme Committee selection via e-mail by November 29, 2010.
Selection Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on how successfully they:
- address latest research developments;
- assemble a strong list of international presenters;
- offer an attractive multidisciplinary of the chosen topic.
Symposium Proposal Submission Form
The Programme Committee welcomes submission of original abstracts for oral or poster presentations for any of the thematic sessions. The majority of submissions will be accepted for poster presentations. However some of those with indicated preference for oral presentation might be accepted as short slide presentations (10-min). All abstract submissions must be original research, own experience or case-presentations. Abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.
Call for abstract submission will open on November 29, 2010.
The organizers will be able to provide a number of travel grants for students and junior scientists from Central and Eastern Europe and other less privileged regions to take part as the active participant at the conference. Call for applications will open on November 29, 2010.
