Young Neuroscientists Forum Ljubljana 2011

22nd September 2011, Faculty of Medicine, Ljubljana, Slovenia

Young Neuroscientist Forum Ljubljana 2011 (YNFL'11) is organized in coordination with SiNAPSA Neuroscience Conference '11 (SNC'11; September 22-25, 2011, Ljubljana, Slovenia), a Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) featured regional meeting.

A unique forum

To capitalize on the presence of outstanding scientists gathering at the SNC'11, the YNFL'11 will be organized as an introductory event of SNC'11. YNFL'11 will provide young neuroscientists at the beginning of their career with an opportunity to present their work, receive invaluable feedback, listen to eminent speakers, look into job opportunities, establish working relationships, and build friendships.

Present your work

Participants with accepted abstracts will present their work in the form of poster presentations. Wide area of research topics will be covered, from molecular and cellular to systems neuroscience and clinical research. Please see the YNFL'11 Presenter's Guide for instructions on poster presentation.

Presenter's Guide

Participants with accepted abstracts will present their work in the form of poster presentations. Poster presentations will be divided into two poster presentation sessions, morning and afternoon session. Please visit the programme website to learn when you are presenting.

Presentation sessions will be actively guided by the organizers. Presentations are limited to 4 minutes with additional 2 minutes for discussion.

Posters must be brought to the Conference venue by the presenting author and should not be mailed to the organizers. However authors can send a pdf of their poster to a print shop ahead of their arrival to Ljubljana to have it printed in time for the presentation. Two nearby print shops, Sekom Grafika and Grafex agencija, offer payment on delivery of the poster to the Congress centre Cankarjev dom or Medical faculty (YNFL'11) of Ljubljana. However, there are several print-shops in the vicinity of the venue. Note: This service is unrelated to the SNC'11, and organisers accept no responsibility for poster printing or delivery to the venue.

The required poster dimensions are 190 cm (width) by 100 cm (height), and will be mounted in landscape orientation (poster board size 200 cm x 120 cm). These dimensions also apply for the SiNAPSA Neuroscience Conference'11 should you be presenting your poster in both conferences.

Job Forum

Close contact between students and senior neuroscientists will provide ample opportunities to allow job seekers to meet heads of laboratories with open Ph.D. or postdoctoral positions in Europe.

Social programme

A rich social program will accompany scientific sessions. There will be opportunities to socialize by the posters, and following the conference programme.

Venue

YNFL'11 will take place at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana, Korytkova 2, Ljubljana.
