Apply for a travel grant

SNC'23 Organising Committee will award several travel grants to cover the economy travel and accommodation for eligible SNC'23 participants and to attendees of the Educational Workshop on Pain (EWP). Eligibility criteria favour candidates who plan to present their work at the SNC'23.

Your application should include:

  1. Personal data according to the application form.
  2. Application letter
  3. Curriculum vitae, including a list of publications (≤ 3 pages).
  4. Letter of recommendation by a supervisor (include his or her e-mail address).

In your submission letter, please, state explicitly whether:

  • you plan to present a poster or short oral presentation at the SNC'23 (abstract must be included)
  • you are not presenting your work at the SNC'23, but wish to attend the conference
  • you are applying to attend the Educational Workshop on Pain

The documents should be prepared in a word, rtf, txt or PDF format and submitted in a zip package.

The deadline for the submission of the application has been extended from June 1 to June 17, 2023. Candidates will be notified by June 20, 2023.

The criteria for selection are:

a) Publications

  • Total number of publications: score: 0 - 1 - 2 - 3 (no - few - moderate - many)
  • Peer reviewed papers: score: 0 - 1 - 2 - 3 (no - few - moderate - many)
  • Presentations at scientific conferences score: 0 - 1 - 2 - 3 (no - few - moderate - many)

b) Age Bonus Scores

  • 3 (age < 28)
  • 2 (age 28 - 31)
  • 1 (age 32 - 34) (limit of ”young scientist” criterion of EU)
  • 0 (> 34) (accepted only if date of PhD is less than 5 years by time of SNC'23)

c) Presentation at the SCN'23 (abstract submitted)

d) General evaluation of the candidate based on the information provided. Score: 0 - 1 - 2 - 3 (null - low - average - excellent)
