The event includes surgical topics, surgical techniques and equipment, strategies, neuroanaesthaesia, intraoperative neurophysiology.
Workshop 1 on surgical topics offers poster presentations to junior students. It may be extended into a parallel afternoon session.

WORKSHOP 2 EPILEPSY SURGERY IN THE REGION
Epilepsy surgery in the region / countries with insufficient resources paediatric and adult.
The event includes round tables to discuss the survey in the region, a discussion on how to do it more often, earlier and better and an international consensus document on paediatric epilepsy surgery.

WORKSHOP 3 RESISTANT EPILEPSY: SURGERY IN ADULTS
The event shall review selected topics from Bulgarian, Croatian, Slovenian- German and Serbian experience, results of the EPODES Programme.

SYMPOSIUM 4
Shall review mesures of succeses, complications and suboptimal results, the use of AEDs in surgical candidates (related risks, complications, specific combinations to avoid / suggest, required investigations, drugs for comorbid conditions) and contributions of modern genetics and pharmacology to practical management of resistant epilepsy

WORKSHOP 5 PAEDIATRIC EPILEPSY SURGERY
The event shall discuss pertinent topics in paediatric epilepsy surgery based on educational case reports presented by the faculty and by the students. A lecture will be dedicated to the dillemas regarding drug resistant non-lesional epilepsies of unknown aetiology where modern biochemistry genetic data are bringing novel information : what is its effect on deciding about surgery.

The School is intended for specialists and residents actively interested in epileptology and neurosurgery, from any of the clinical and basic fields of neuroscience (child and adult): neurology, neurophysiology, anaesthesiology, nuclear medicine, neuroradiology, neurosurgery, neuropsychology, psychiatry, EEG technology, nursing, information technology, any related fields interested in epileptology.
