Dear SiNAPSA members,

In the run-up to the winter break, we would like to draw your attention to some important opportunities:

FENS Regional Meeting (FRM 2019)

Early registration for the FENS Regional Meeting 2019, taking place in Belgrade on 10-13 July, will open on 15 December.

Several travel grants are available for the meeting. The deadline to apply for a travel grant is 27 January while the deadline for abstract submission and early registration is 1 April 2019. Please note that attractive reduced registration rates are offered for FENS members.

FENS EJN Awards

The call for nominations for the FENS EJN Award 2020 will close on 21 December. Sponsored by the EJN’s publisher Wiley, the award is given in recognition of an outstanding scientific work in any area of neuroscience and the awardee will receive a personal prize of £10,000.

Looking forward to 2019, the calls for nominations for the Best Publication Award and the Young Investigator Prize will open on 7 January. The Best Publication Award is given to the best research article published in EJN over the preceding two-year period while the Young Investigator Prize recognises outstanding scientific work in all areas of neuroscience by individuals aged 35 or under and either working in a European research institution or, if working elsewhere, of European origin.

Submission deadlines:

EJN Award 2020: 21 December 2018.
Young Investigator Prize: 15 February 2019.
Best Publication Award: 31 March 2019.

With our best wishes for a restful holiday period,
